活動詳情 About The Event

(此活動以英語進行)

"The Way is calm and wide,

Not easy, not difficult."

We are delighted to invite you in joining us at the 3-day mindfulness meditation retreat led by Angela Spaxman and Gen Heng, which will be inspired by the classical poem by Third Patriarch of Zen, Seng T'san.

Through the skilful cultivation of mindfulness, we slow down and let go of our daily concerns so that we can find 'the Way' that is "calm and wide".  In this silent retreat, we will practice sitting, walking meditation, mindful eating, mindful work and mindfulness in interpersonal interaction. By cultivating the wholesome qualities of the mind and heart, we can apply them into our daily life to live in ease and harmony.

This retreat is suitable for experienced meditators and those with retreat experience. Participants will be invited to observe Noble Silence and be technology-free during the retreat period (mobile devices will be safely stored with the organisers). Vegetarian breakfast and lunch will be served. Evening meal will be quite light.

Please ensure you have read the Fa Hong Monastery Code Of Conduct guidelines before applying for this event. You are asked to attend the retreat in full, with no late arrivals or early departures, to support the group's practice.

Costs:

In order to cover the costs of food, logistics, hiring a cook and facilities for the retreat, there will be a fee of HK$750 (HK$250 per day).

In addition, the teachers are offering their time, energy, support, and sharing of knowledge and experience in the spirit of generosity and appreciate your financial support by donation.
